On April 14th, San Giorgio del Porto S.p.A. and T. Mariotti S.p.A. - Shipyard had the great pleasure of participating in the conference "Nautical Education for Shipbuilding: Present and Future." This event was organised by the Nautical Institute and held at the prestigious Palazzo Tursi in Genoa.
During the meeting, Giangiacomo Zino, Commercial Director of T. Mariotti, and Egidio Massone, HR and QHSSE Director of San Giorgio del Porto, representing the two shipyards – both part of the Genova Industrie Navali S.p.A. Group – shared their vision. They outlined current projects, development prospects, and the ongoing commitment to innovation in the shipbuilding and ship repair sector. The importance of increasingly targeted technical training was also highlighted, aiming to prepare "Shipbuilding" graduates for the real demands of the market.
The conference served as a valuable opportunity to strengthen dialogue between businesses and educational institutions, facilitating direct engagement with the young people who will shape the future. It was an event of significant value for the technical and maritime sector, reaffirming the importance of investing in skills and fostering collaboration between schools and the shipbuilding industry.
