Building Skills in the Blue Economy

Yesterday, Genova Industrie Navali S.p.A. participated in the meeting "Building Skills in the Blue Economy: A Reflection on Training Needs and Human Resource Recruitment," promoted by the City of Genoa as part of the Blue Economy Day organized to commemorate the arrival of the Amerigo Vespucci.

Representing GIN was Egidio Massone, who spoke alongside Mayor Silvia Salis, Paolo Fasce, and Giovanni Costaguta in a discussion dedicated to training, skills, and the future of work in maritime economies.

The growth of the Blue Economy depends on the ability to create concrete connections between businesses, institutions, and the education system, enhancing the skills needed to support the evolution of the maritime and nautical sector. In this process, it is essential to always keep human resources at the center, the true driver of competence and development: investing in people means accompanying their growth, valuing their contribution, and strengthening their sense of belonging to the company's strategy.

For Genova Industrie Navali, promoting this dialogue means supporting the development of strategic skills for the future of the supply chain, fostering innovation, skilled employment, and regional competitiveness.
