San Giorgio del Porto is proud to announce its new partnership with BioDesign Foundation, the non-profit organisation that promotes the research and implementation of sustainable solutions aimed at safeguarding nature and the environment.
The Genoese shipyard, led by Ferdinando Garré, is among the first supporters of the new project The Custodians Plastic Race - We Clean The Planet, the race against time to clean the planet of plastic and waste.
The BioDesign Foundation's new challenge, which will start in Genoa with the arrival of the Ocean Race, will be an even more ambitious race around the world, with the aim of cleaning up every corner of the Planet, from the seabed of the seas and oceans to the peaks of the highest mountains, to free nature from the great menace of plastic.
"The enthusiasm that drives this project and the message that the Foundation wants to convey, the ambition to really clean up the whole sea and the whole planet, have involved me and convinced me from the very first moment," says Ferdinando Garré, Managing Director of San Giorgio Del Porto. "For this reason, as an entrepreneur and as a citizen deeply attached to the sea, I felt the duty to support The Custodians Plastic Race project.
